Sickle Cell is a chronic illness that affects more than 90,000 Americans. 1 and 500 African-Americans newborn babies will have acquired Sickle Cell Disease. Many people don't know that they have Sickle Cell until they have a crisis.

Incomplete Cell was the first film I ever made. The documentary was created out of necessity, at the time in 2016 there was a lack of compelling visual resources for sickle cell patients like myself, parents, and youth could relate to.

Using my early filmmaking abilities and with the help of my father Robert “Herhsye” Alston resources, we created the first in-house project from our company NKA Ceations, LLC.

The film was a great success, becoming a multi-award-winning documentary in several film festivals. The film is currently available on YouTube and is being shown inside classrooms across the country.
